Meninas sculptures in Madrid

A giant Menina figure named Wonder Woman 1984, designed by Antonio Azzato and sponsored by Warner Bross, stands at Plaza de Colón (Columbus Square) on November 20, 2020, in Madrid, Spain. Large sculptures of Velázquez’s famous characters can be found around the streets of Madrid. The initiative has been created and promoted by artist Antonio Azzato features 37 human-sized Meninas designed by himself along with other renowned artists, actors, chefs, and celebrities and sponsored by various brands and institutions.
