A colorful Menina figure designed by Antonio Azzato and sponsored by Makro, stands at the intersection of Serrano and Jorge Juan streets, in the Salamanca neighborhood, on November 20, 2020, in Madrid, Spain. Large sculptures of Velázquez’s famous characters can be found around the streets of Madrid. The initiative has been created and promoted by artist Antonio Azzato features 37 human-sized Meninas designed by himself along with other renowned artists, actors, chefs, and celebrities and sponsored by various brands and institutions.
